Anyone eligible to vote can now do so by post. You do not need special reasons - all you have to do is apply to the Birmingham Council elections office.
Voting by post is easy. It means you do not have to worry if you cannot get to the polling station on election day. You can find out about how to vote by post and download a copy of the application form by visiting Birmingham Council's election office pages at: Birmingham Council elections office - postal voting. or by contacting Cllr Ann Holtom at: The Electoral Commission, the national body which regulates votes and voting, also have a website, "About My Vote" dedicted to encouraging voter registratation and giving information about elections. It can be visited at: About My Vote website of the Electoral Commission.
